● Synchronous Rectification Overview

The secondary side of the switching power supply is mostly rectified by diodes. The forward voltage drop of the diodes is about 0.6V ~ 0.8V. If 12V3A is output, the rectification loss is 1.8W. If 5V10A is output, the loss is as much as 6W.
